Marginal Passages — Marco Fava Looks for Signs of Human Presence in Natural Landscapes

For today’s Cameo we’re having 38 year-old Italian photographer Marco Fava who shares with us his landscape photography series Marginal Passages. See here for all the photographers who previously made a cameo in FotoRoom.
Ciao Marco, how are you?
Ciao, I’m fine, thanks. I’m very glad to be featured on FotoRoom.
What is photography for you?
Photography is many things for me. It’s a way to explore myself and the reality around me. It’s also sort of “therapeutic” for me: I always feel very good while I’m shooting.
What is Marginal Passages about?
Marginal Passages is a good example of my approach to investigating the landscape through the relationship between the natural environment and the human presence. I often go back to the same places because I’m interested in seeing how the perception of a certain landscape can change, even over short periods of time. In the case of this series, I used ephemeral elements to try to convey this sense of instability or temporary passage.
Where can you be found online?
You can find my works on my website or on Instagram.
