Taiwan’s Economic Daily News has recently reported that Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics manufacturer, will hire over 100,000 workers for the production of the soon-to-be-released iPhone 6. For many young Chinese born in poor, rural families, getting hired at Foxconn is a great opportunity: it allows them to support themselves and their families back home.
